FSSC 22000: Food safety with a system

SAVANNA Ingredients GmbH meets all requirements according to FSSC 22000 (Food Safety System Certification). This ensures that our customers receive products of the highest quality.

Based on the international norm DIN EN ISO 22000 Management Systems for Food Safety, FSSC has been extended by further requirements. In this form FSSC is also recognized by the GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative). Thus, the FSSC is comparable to other food safety standards, such as  IFS Food and  BRC. But FSSC has the advantage that it is based on an ISO standard and is not owned by any interest group. This ensures an independent evaluation process. It should also be mentioned here that FSSC certification is limited to food production, while development is covered by ISO certification.

As part of the FSSC certification cycle unannounced audits ensure that the high food safety requirements are observed at all times. With this approach we are always committed to offering our customers a safe product and to reducing the risk of hazards and incidents.

While both IFS Food and BRC are product or process certifications, the FSSC 22000 is a complete Management System Certification that enables us to meet the requirements of international food producers and achieve sustainable improvements. This builds trust throughout the whole supply chain and provides our customers a real competitive advantage.
